Attendance
Attendance Matters! Research shows that great attendance is one of the key factors of academic achievement.
Students are expected to attend school each day and arrive on time. School district policy and state law require daily attendance for young people between the ages of 6 and 18 (E.C. 48200 48400). The only excused absences are for student illness and the need to attend a funeral. After 5 absences or lates a letter will be sent home. Follow-up letters are then sent with a scheduled conference (SART) with the principal. Continued violation of the Ed Code may result in a SARB hearing.

If it is necessary for a student to leave school before regular dismissal, he/she must be signed out through the school office. Any person signing out a child must be on the emergency records and have valid identification. Please schedule appointments after school in order to avoid interruptions in the instructional day.
